Disputes arose between ASM Shipping Ltd of India (“owners”) and TTMI Ltd (“charterers”) which, in March 2001, were referred to arbitration by two arbitrators (“the original arbitrators”). The charterers claimed damages arising out of a number of alleged breaches of charter the result of which was said to be that the vessel arrived late at her loadport. The owners claimed freight and demurrage.
